DeMint will join the show’s powerhouse roundtable to discuss and debate the week’s top news. The panel includes political odd couple James Carville and Mary Matalin, former New Mexico governor Bill Richardson, and ABC News’ Cokie Roberts.

ABC News previewed the program earlier today:

After a major defeat on guns and ongoing debate on immigration and the budget, does President Obama have the political “juice” to push his agenda forward? Will members of Congress face a backlash over inaction on gun control legislation? Who’s to blame for the stalemate in Washington – and how will it impact political fortunes for 2014 and 2016? The powerhouse roundtable takes on those topics and more, Sunday on “This Week.”

This will be a return visit to “This Week” for DeMint. He last appeared on the show as a U.S. senator from South Carolina. DeMint became Heritage’s president last month.
