The Greek Coast Guard seized a vessel Tuesday carrying ammunition and weapons near the southern island of Crete, authorities said, according to the Associated Press. The shipment is believed to be linked to the Islamic State group in Libya, according to local media reports.
The news comes as Europe is debating a solution to a growing refugee crisis. More than 300,000 migrants, most of them fleeing war in Syria, have flooded the European Union’s borders in recent months. Many Eastern European nations refusing to allow Muslim asylum seekers into their countries.
ISIS had threaten to send 500,000 Muslim migrants asylum seekeerts to Europe as a ‘weapon’. ISIS militants plan to cement their control of Libya while also crossing the Mediterranean into Europe disguised as refugees.
ISIS spokesman said: The Europeans need to know that when we come, it will not be in a nice way. It will be with our weapons. Those who do not convert to Islam or pay the Islamic tax will be killed,” the spokesman said. He also said anyone refusing to convert will be killed. “150 million, 200 million or 500 million, it does not matter to us, we will kill them all.”
QADDAFI: “Without Libya stopping the flood into Europe of African Muslim invaders, Europe will one day no longer be European but black as there are millions who want to come in,” Qaddafi said.
“We don’t know if Europe will remain an advanced and united continent or if it will be destroyed, as happened with the barbarian invasions”. Hundreds of thousands of black African and Middle East Muslim refugees and migrants have reached Italian soil by boat from the North African coast, although the influx has been significantly stemmed by the Qaddafi navy.
ISIS fighters are using Libya and Syria as a gateway to Europe, according to documents believed to be from ISIS, which were released by the British Quilliam Foundation, an organization meant to combat extremism, the Gatestone Institute reported. Muslim jihadist are posing as migrants on vessels passing into Europe, ISIS fighters in Libya are be able to quietly slip into Europe as asylum seekers, it is unknown home many ISIS fighters are in Europe right now preparing for mass terrorist attacks throughout Europe.
“The Mediterranean is becoming the world’s powder keg,” Toto Martello, a spokesman for the fishermen of the Italian island of Lompedusa, told the Gatestone Institute earlier this year. “We are frightened of the boats being boarded by terrorists,” Martello said.
