FLASHBACK: Obama Endorsed Muslim Brotherhood

While the Muslim Brotherhood calls for more protests, just months ago the Obama administration had endorsed this radical group during Egypt’s elections.

It was a meeting that not long ago would have seemed totally implausible. But Egypt’s newly elected president, the Muslim Brotherhood’s candidate, has warmly welcomed America’s top diplomat to Cairo for talks, and heard her affirmation of The Obama Administrations “strong support” for the change that had brought him and his fundamentalist group to power.

For years the Islamist Brotherhood organisation was outlawed in Egypt under the regime of former president Hosni Mubarak, had been demonized by successive American administrations; while the Brotherhood regarded the US with suspicion, as an ally of repressive regimes across the Middle East.

President Mohammed Morsi declared to Hilary Clinton, US Secretary of State: “We are very, very keen to meet you” and heard in return her promise of “the strong support of the United States for the Egyptian people and their democratic transition”.

Leon E. Panetta, the United States defense secretary, said on just last month that President Mohamed Morsi of Egypt was “his own man,” a strong declaration of American support for Mr. Morsi, a former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. The future course in Egypt remains a great unknown to the Obama administration and the world.

  1. All this, while the Muslim Brotrherhood is maintaining chaos and terror in “Liberated” and povety stricked Libya, together with AlQuaeda. This at a cost of, reportedly, more than 100.000 innocent victims and the elimination of around 36.000 Tawergha tribe, historically black Libyan citizen, defined by the NATO and invaders as “mercenaries”. Where is Amnesty International now? Together with Obama, Killary et all?
