Catch Jim DeMint on “Meet the Press” This Sunday

Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint will appear on NBC’s “Meet the Press” this Sunday, June 30, at 9:00 a.m. He will discuss the immigration reform bill that passed the Senate on Thursday, the negative effects it would have on the American people, and alternatives Congress could take.

Senator DeMint will also examine the recent Supreme Court decisions on affirmative action, the Voting Rights Act, Prop 8, and DOMA. How will these decisions affect the country?

Will Texas pass a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks? Senator DeMint will weigh in on why the bill should be passed, and why the support Planned Parenthood and NARAL have given Wendy Davis’s filibuster places politics above the rights of the most vulnerable.

Finally, Senator DeMint will discuss why the National Security Agency should conduct surveillance, and how it can be done legally.

Tune in Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
