Democrats’ Calls for Civility Turn to Cries of GOP ‘Anarchy’

Remember, back in 2010, when President Barack Obama started calling for civility in politics?

I remember it well: President Obama said things like, “You can disagree with a certain policy without demonizing the person who espouses it,” while speaking at the University of Michigan commencement on May 1, 2010.

“This kind of vilification and over-the-top rhetoric closes the door to the possibility of compromise,” Obama added.

Ah, the good old days…

But, in the last few weeks, the interesting thing is Democrats’ talking points seem to contain a repetition of certain words and phrases that would seem to fall into the realm of “over-the-top rhetoric.”

As demonstrated in the video above, “anarchists,” “hostage taking,” “gun to the head,” “burn the house down” and “blow-up” are among the oft-repeated words from some leading Democrats.

I guess they aren’t concerned that “over-the top rhetoric closes the door to the possibility of compromise.”
