A poll carried out by the Survey Center at A-Najah University in Shechem indicates that 70% of Palestinian Authority (PA) residents believe current “peace talks” with Israel are doomed to fail.
According to the poll, which was cited in Maariv, 38% of those polled believed that the proper response to a failure of diplomacy should be a “violent popular uprising,” while 59% said that the popular uprising should not be violent.
Thirty-six percent said that the PA should be dismantled after talks fail.
The poll was reportedly carried out among 1,360 people aged 18 and over, of whom 860 are from Judea and Samaria, and the rest from Gaza.
