The facts are not in dispute. Israel accepted a ceasefire in the morning and suspended all military operations against Gaza. Hamas rejected the ceasefire and spent six hours firing rockets before Israel responded.
Hamas is entirely responsible for the breakdown of the ceasefire initiative.
But you wouldn’t know that from the Daily Telegraph’s headline:
Granted, the context of the article is correct. However, many people do not get beyond the headlines and we believe that a headline should bear some resemblance to the story it accompanies.
In this case, the Telegraph gives the impression that Israel and Hamas are equally responsible for the breakdown of the ceasefire despite the reality and timeline of events.
