This program commemorates the worst Nazi pogrom that was perpetrated in Germany, Austria and the German-occupied western part of Czechoslovakia, The Sudetenland, before the implementation of ‘The Final Solution’, the proposed extermination of all Jews.
It happened during the night from the 9th to the 10th November 1938, when all Synagogues in those countries were plundered and set alight, thousands of Jewish stores and homes were destroyed and 30,000 Jewish men were sent to Concentration Camps.
Walter lived in Germany at that time, saw it all and gives an eyewitness account of some of it here.
