Another Illegal Abuse of Power by a Democrat Shot Down in Court!!

Pity the poor Democrats! Without felons, the Party will have to rely on other acts of voter fraud to boost turnout for the most corrupt Democrat of all….Hillary Clinton!

Terry McAuliffe, Democrat Governor of Virginia, followed the illicit lead set by President Barack Obama

in abusing Executive Power to benefit the Democrat Party. Obama abused his power by issuing an Executive Order that would have circumvented the US Congress and existing law in order to curry favor with Hispanics by exempting illegal aliens from deportation.

In a similar vein, McAuliffe thought he had found a brilliant way to grow the Democrat Party without the need to spend huge amounts of time and money on voter recruitment. His scheme: Restore the voting rights of convicted felons in time to benefit corrupt Hillary in November!

Acting on this evil impulse, McAuliffe issued an Executive Order which would have enfranchised more than 200,000 felons to vote in 2016.

As was the case with Obama’s Executive Order, the McAuliffe ruse was ruled unconstitutional, in the McAuliffe case by the Virginia Supreme Court.

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s action restoring the voting rights of more than 200,000 felons was unconstitutional, Virginia’s highest court ruled Friday, siding with Republican lawmakers who said the governor overstepped his authority.

In a 4-3 decision, the Supreme Court of Virginia ordered the state to cancel the registration of the more than 11,000 felons who had signed up to vote so far under the governor’s April executive order. Top Republicans called it “a major victory for the Constitution, the rule of law and the Commonwealth of Virginia.”

“Our nation was founded on the principles of limited government and separation of powers. Those principles have once again withstood assault from the executive branch. This opinion is a sweeping rebuke of the governor’s unprecedented assertion of executive authority,” House Speaker William Howell and Senate Majority Leader Thomas Norment said in a statement.”
