In my book, (written and published before the election), “Trump: How He Captured The Trump White House,” I write at length how Obama will be considered one of the most over-rated and politically incompetent presidents since World War II. Obama’s most recent UN blunder just further destroyed Obama’s political reputation.
This past week Obama had his lackey UN Ambassador Power in effect support a one-sided resolution of the United Nation’s Security Council condemning Israel for its settlements in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem.
This UN Resolution also scapegoated Israel alone for being a barrier to peace between Israel on one side and on the other side; the radical Islamic terrorist group Hamas ( who rules Gaza) and the equally corrupt/violent/ anti-Semitic Palestinian Authority on the West Bank. The followers of both groups are either Palestinian-Islamic terrorists or radical Islamic terrorist sympathizers.
This anti-Israel resolution was just another in a long line of Arab and Palestinian-inspired UN Security Council resolutions designed to vilify Israel and delegitimize Israel and call into question Israel’s existence.
As noted by New York Democratic Senate leader Chuck Schumer, this heavily biased resolution against Israel was akin to a previous abhorrent UN “Zionism is racism” resolution.
But to the arrogant clueless Obama, the American abstention in this UN Security Council vote was a personal pay back or middle finger to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with whom Obama has been feuding over Israeli settlements for years. And Obama’s misguided action was also a shot against President-elect Trump who publicly called on Obama to veto this UN resolution as Obama had done in connection with a similar UN Resolution in 2011.
In 2011, Obama through his UN Ambassador, vetoed a similar anti-Israeli resolution on the basis that settlements discussions should be negotiated between the parties; the Israelis and the Palestinians. And not be imposed upon Israel by an outside party as the UN. Such UN intervention would be counter-productive and harden positions and undermine any further peace negotiations.
Why did Obama change his position in 2016?
In 2011, Obama needed the votes and considerable financial support of pro Israel, Jewish and non Jewish Americans, on both coasts, in the midwest and in the south for his 2012 re-election.
Now it is the end of 2016 and we are in the dying days of the Obama presidency. Obama does not need these votes or this support.
Barack Hussein Obama can finally come out of the closet and show his true authentic self- as an anti-Semitic, anti-Israel sympathizer of radical Islamic/Palestinian terrorists. By this one vote, Obama, leader of the Democrats has broken with decades of pro Israel policies and has transformed the Democratic party to the extreme leftist, pro Islamic Anti-Israel party.
Recall on Obama’s watch, he has been a disastrous Democratic party leader. On his watch over a 1000 elected Democrats lost their seats. Obama’s arrogance, political ignorance and negligence have been responsible for the Democrats losing majorities in both Houses. Obama’s clueless and incompetent presidency have been responsible for the Democrats losing control of the majority of governorships and state legislatures to the Republicans.
With this politically stupid UN move, Obama has also handed Trump and the GOP leadership an excellent issue with which to hammer the Democrats in the House and in the Senate. Obama has now put at political risk over 10 vulnerable Democratic Senators up for re-election in 2018 in states won by Trump, thus ensuring a post 2018 GOP controlled and filibuster-free Senate. Obama’s pro Islamic terrorist/anti-Israel stand has also unified the fractious GOP behind Trump in favour of democratic ally, Israel, and against the anti-Israel UN, thus paving the way for eight Trump years.
Bottom line: The disastrous and politically stupid Obama is the gift to the GOP that just keeps on giving and giving for years to come.
