After CNN Host Chris Cuomo failed to defend him from being repeatedly interrupted by former national press secretary for Bernie Sanders Symone Sanders, former Virginia attorney general Ken Cuccinelli finally took matters into his own hands, telling Sanders to “Shut up.”
Cuccinelli’s comment set off a heated argument, which Cuomo struggled to subdue, as Sanders expressed outrage at being insulted – and Cuccinelli replied he had no other choice but to speak up for himself, since she kept interrupting him and Cuomo wouldn’t do his job as moderator.
At the end of the segment, Cuccinelli apologized for using such rude language – and said he accepted Sanders’ apology for interrupting him.
Sanders then interrupted Cuccinelli to say that she did not, in fact, apologize for constantly interrupting Cuccinelli and refusing to let him finish making his points.
“I don’t have an apology for you,” she said.
“Well, now we know,” Cuccinelli replied.
