About 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thornton police reported the shooting at 9900 Grant St., a Walmart Super Center, part of the Thornton Town Center. The shopping center includes multiple stores and restaurants.
Thornton police are responding to the store location on Grant Street which is south of 102nd Street in the town that’s located just outside of Denver.
Authorities say there are multiple injuries. It’s unclear if anyone has died or if the shooter has been taken into custody.

Police have closed the roads near the store and are asking the public to avoid the area.
The Walmart is located in the Thornton Town Center which includes multiple restaurants and stores.
Police warned people in the area to stay away from the shopping center.
