“Our guiding principle is: Italians first,” Salvini said during the election campaign, a Wall Street Journal report noted. “If saying ‘Italians first’ is xenophobic, then I don’t know what to say.”
Italians have felt betrayed and abandoned by the rest of the European Union over the immigration problem, namely the refusal by most Member States to modify the Dublin convention, a text signed when immigration into Europe from Africa and the ME was but a trickle, in other words before people started crossing the Mediterranian in their millions, landing, guess where, on Italian soil.
Leader of Italy’s Lega Party, Matteo Salvini, wants to save Italy he said he will deport half a million migrants within five years when elected.
Italy accepted hundreds of thousands of migrants in the last three years and is facing a backlash after migrant crimes rocked the country.
Just this month an Italian girl was murdered and dismembered by a Nigerian asylum seeker. Afterwards a man shot several African migrants in retaliation, the Italians are protesting and don’t want any more migrants.
Salvini said Italians are not racists, but immigration needs to be controlled: “The only antidote to racism is to control, regulate and limit immigration. There are millions of Italians in economic difficulty. Italians are not racist, but out-of-control immigration brings with it far from positive reactions. We want to prevent that.”
According to recent polls Italy’s centre-right coalition between Salvini’s Lega Party and Berlusconi’s Forza Italia is on course to win the election. Salvini not far right at all as claimed by the leftist media.
The fight back against mass immigration and the halt of the ruination of western Europe has begun. The EU and NATO have shot themselves in the foot. None of us voted for their regime change wars or mass immigration policies.
Salvini has often voiced support for the British vote to exit the European Union, saying Italy could be the next country to leave the EU, points out a report by the Daily Express, a U.K. newspaper.
“Why on earth would free people remain prisoners in a cage of absurd laws and regulation, with rigid constraints that humiliate the true needs of the people and their country?” Salvini told the paper.
Europeans want western governments to implement immigration policies that screen immigrants so we welcome the useful and compatible who will make us richer and stronger instead of poorer and weaker. Such policies are neither bigoted or racist and the tired argument that they are are no longer effective… hence the ongoing political shift to the right as people search for politician to do their bidding instead of ignoring and insulting them. It is clearly a lesson most of you on the Left have failed to learn.

Italy has accepted hundreds of thousands of immigrants since 2014. Most of them are from Africa and the Middle East. They live at the expense of the government (ie, Italian tax). At the same time, the elderly in Italy need rest of fruits and vegetables left at the end of street fairs.
