The Department’s inspector general said in a new report that a bogus dossier put together by counterintelligence specialist[ Christopher Steele, a former head of the Russia Desk for British intelligence (MI6), played “a central and essential role in the decision by FBI OGC to support the request for FISA surveillance targeting Carter Page, as well as the FBI’s ultimate decision to seek the FISA order.”

FISA stands for the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which created a secret court by which federal officials can petition a judge to conduct physical and electronic surveillance and the collection of “foreign intelligence information” between “foreign powers” and “agents of foreign powers” suspected of espionage or terrorism

The DOJ report, released Monday by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, laid out 17 separate inaccuracies across three surveillance applications, including the one dealing with Carter Page, who served as foreign-policy adviser to Trump during his 2016 presidential election campaign.

“The Inspector General’s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken,” Barr said, adding, “It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory.”

Comey, McCabe, Strzok and other FBI brass were all working together to take down Donald Trump during and after the 2016 election.

Deep Staters opened the counter intel investigation into Trump’s camp dubbed “Crossfire Hurricane” on suspicions (based on no evidence) that the Russians had infiltrated Trump’s circle.

The FBI never even gave Trump’s camp a proper briefing warning him about a possible infiltration.

Attorney General Bill Barr blasted the FBI on Monday in a statement.

“The Inspector General’s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken,” Barr said, adding, “It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory.”

Comey, McCabe, Strzok and other FBI brass were all working together to take down Donald Trump during and after the 2016 election.

 The report also shows the FBI was spying on at least four Trump officials and not just two.

There are many lingering questions, and I expect both @RepJerryNadler and @RepMaloney to convene hearings with Inspector General Horowitz as soon as possible.”

Any one of us would be locked in GTMO already for the same kind of crimes Democrats are getting away with at the moment.

What’s the sense in obeying LAWS if the top LAW ENFORCEMENT agency doesn’t abide by laws?

US Attorney General Bill Barr also blasted the FBI on Monday in a statement

Unlike Horowitz, Durham has real power to bring the coup plotters to justice, such as the power to indict and impanel a grand jury.

John Durham’s statement just put him on record. If he disagrees with the IG uncovered predication that started the “spying”, that can only mean Durham sees a conspiracy where the goals to achieve are political in nature at the least!

“The only thing that matters to me is how he [Inspector General Michael Horowitz] will treat senior executives at the FBI and the Department of Justice,” said diGenova. “If he excuses their behavior and says it was understandable, then that should be a signal to the U.S. Senate to refuse to reauthorize the FISA court.”
