The term Deep State applies to those in the government that seem exempt from the laws that apply to the rest of us, and use their political positions for political gain, or to enrich themselves. In a smaller extent we see corruption at the lowest levels in government, such as the police force.
Police often offer a courtesy to other police officer to not write each other tickets, even as far as to drive a drunk driving police officer home vs charging them.
Then at the higher level we see government officials do things the rest of us would be put in jail for.
If there is one thing that is for certain in the United States it is that the Deep State, no matter who is president, sticks together in most cases.
Last week it was reported by The New York Times that the investigation of U.S. Attorney John Durham is looking into the activity of former CIA Chief John Brennan, for a while a deep state official under the Obama administration that seemed immune to the laws of the country.
The investigation into Brennan has apparently ruffled the feathers of those currently in the CIA, including CIA Director Gina Haspel,, who was appointed by President Donald Trump, Politico reported.
Intelligence community veterans say the Durham probe into the deep state could force Haspel to choose between protecting her agency from justice wrath, or finally giving in and cooperating with Barrs investigation. They point to FBI chief Chris Wray another deep state criminal who has found himself at odds with the president in recent weeks over a watchdog report about the bureau’s conduct in the Russia probe.
Haspel took an oath to uphold the constitution…. if she protects Brennan and any other deep stater she is just as guilty as them.
Some claim the Barr-Durham probe represents overreach by an attorney general, other say it about time the government cronies are held accountable and they took it too far setting up Trump in the last election cycle. Exposing of the Russia investigation into Trump, and set up by the intelligence community based on nothing but made up and false allegations.
Gina Haspel, a veteran intelligence officer known for her fierce loyalty first to the CIA and acute political antennae, has rarely made headlines during her 19-month tenure atop the nation’s top spy agency, turning her focus inward on building morale and boosting recruitment. That strategy has kept her out of investigators sights and the long time protected CIA’s more than 20,000 employees from any scrutiny.
Guess who was the CIA Chief of Station in London in 2016 while Joseph Mifsud, Stepan Halper, “Azra Turk” (alias) and Alexander Downer were setting up George Papadopoulos? The answer is current CIA Director Gina Haspel, and she should be scared.
When it comes to Durham, Haspel seems in denial and thinks there has been no serious wrongdoing, but has no choice but to cooperate” with the investigation.
It is unprecedented for Justice department prosecutors to hold high level government officials accountable. The stance has been foe the DOJ to look away from any questionable activity from withing the government, until now.
Many in the intelligence community are not happy and terrified that the DOJ is investigating them.
“I find this troubling and I suspect many inside the intelligence community do as well,” Sipher said, insisting that the review of Brennan’s records “ that he thinks was initiated and sold in a partisan manner.
Lets recall former CIA acting director and deputy director John McLaughlin. We know McLaughlin from his famous speech in which he thanked God for the existence of the Deep State.
“Thank God for the deep state,” McLaughlin he said. “I mean I think everyone has seen this progression of diplomats and intelligence officers and White House people trooping up to Capitol Hill right now and saying these are people who are doing their duty or responding to a higher call.
And Sipher? You may recognize him from his Twitter account in which he cheers on the impeachment of the president.

They want to protect Brennan because they want to protect themselves. The Deep State always sticks together, much like the police force stick together protecting their own.
Tese criminals know that Attorney General Bill Barr and Attorney Durham are closing in on them and what illegals acts they did during the 2016 presidential election.
Lucky for the United States here is a new sheriff in town and his name is President Trump. They came after him trying to fix the election, then have been trying to remove him ever since. It appears are not getting away with the fix this time around.
Sorry boys and girls. You break the law, you go to jail. Working for the CIA, DOJ, State Dept is NOT a get out of jail card.
