Thanksgiving is the most American Indian holiday there is said a Lakota tribal member. He said “we, along with most other North American tribes, have a thanksgiving whenever a baby is born, someone graduates from high school, someone gets married or any other time we want to show gratitude to the Creator and our community for something. It is an actual national holiday that ties directly to my culture.”
