If we want true innovation in education to reach the widest range of student interests, aptitudes and learning styles, we need to follow the model of other states like Pennsylvania, Florida, and Arizona who have made school choice for families a reality.
Uniformity within the educational system stifles children’s performance when they are not given the opportunity to grow. The “one-size-fits-all” approach is failing students nationwide. Families should be given the opportunity to choose the best possible school for their children. As Senator DeMint argues, school choice would empower parents and help better educate children.
