Just when it seemed as though Donald Trump had brought some badly-needed cajoles, truth. and guts to the ongoing illegal alien debate, Reince Priebus, Head of the RNC, decided that cajoles, truth, and guts were vastly overrated, and were, thus verboten.
Old school, not cool, blah, blah, blah!
Better to pretend that the 20-50 million illegal aliens in our midst, the greatest majority of whom are impoverished, unskilled, uneducated, non-English speaking, illiterate Hispanics, can be persuaded by Priebus and Jeb Bush to forsake their socialist upbringing and instincts in order to vote for Republicans, capitalism & the American way.
Silly fools!
Getting illegals to give up free health care, education, food stamps, welfare, housing and other tax-payer funded booty is nearly as dumb as W. Bush’s absurd idea that he could convert Iraq and other devoted Islamic states into lawful Democracies where everyone could live happily ever after and where the Muslim leaders would eventually thank the US for invading and occupying Islamic nations!
Its that stupid, Mr. Priebus!
Nonetheless, Priebus tossed his unsolicited two cents into the fray as reported:
WASHINGTON – Concerned that Donald Trump’s comments about immigration could blow up the party’s Hispanic outreach efforts in 2016, the head of the Republican National Committee is urging the real estate mogul to moderate his remarks.
RNC chair Reince Priebus repeatedly urged Trump to “tone it down” during the 45-minute call Wednesday, the Washington Post reported.
But Trump tweeted Thursday that the report was “totally false” — although he confirmed a call took place. “He called me, ten minutes, said I hit a ‘nerve,’ doing well, end!” Trump wrote.
The party is in the midst of a multi-year effort to pry a piece of the growing Hispanic voting electorate away from Democrats.
Trump launched his campaign late last month, inveighing against Mexican criminals pouring into the country, and hasn’t backed off since.
He told NBC’s “Today” show on Thursday that he had “nothing to apologize for,” and credits himself for raising the immigration issue in the campaign.”
Whatever the true story is, Trump deserves credit for facing the issue head-on and dealing with it in a straight-forward manner.
Meanwhile, Reince Priebus needs to sit down, shut up, and listen to The Donald who may be the only honest politician rich enough to tell the truth!
